THE NAKED EXPEDITION PROJECT

The Naked Expedition Project (or TNEP ) was an NYC-based theater company that I co-founded in 2014 with my dear friend and colleague, Celestine Rae. Our goal was to challenge the perceptions of women and the underrepresented through the voice of theater and to serve as an advocate for them and their stories.

The creation of TNEP was driven by a passion for exploring the process of creation and development through works that feature the untold, underrepresented, and non-traditional stories of women and femininity.

TNEP strived to inspire writers of all ethnicities, backgrounds, and gender by providing a space for them to develop and share their work. We believed then and still believe now, that artists thrive within a community that embraces exploration and the many stages of development and process.

Our overarching goal was to provide a platform for non-traditional stories and voices that will ignite conversation, understanding, and investigation into the core humanity of women and the underrepresented within the local and global community.

Even though TNEP no longer exists in its original form, it did serve to create relationships that still exist between the artists. Many of us still continue to collaborate together and support and advocate for each other and for that, I am eternally grateful for TNEP.
