Holly Springs, NC. America is just about to elect it’s first Black President.  Lee is a white Australian immigrant married to a Black American. When she falls pregnant she starts to question her decision to call America home. Being a mother changes what home means. When she looses the pregnancy, these questions remain. The Bright Side explores miscarriage, privilage and home in a country that is on the brink of change.
